Mistletoe Season
Tenbury Mistletoe Season |  | Tenbury Wells - England's Mistletoe Town - holds its annual Mistletoe Season from mid-November to Christmas.
The Season celebrates Tenbury's long association with mistletoe which goes back over 100 years.
Key events take place on the first Saturday in December (aka National Mistletoe Day) with a procession through the town to the Burgage by the Mistletoe Foundation. The day includes a multi-faith ceremony, crowning of the Mistletoe Queen and Holly Prince, mistletoe and craft sales followed by a folk evening at the Royal Oak.
Other events in the Season include the town's traditional wholesale mistletoe auctions, Lantern & Santa Parade, music & storytelling, Christmas lights switch-on, retro film night and the Mistletoe Ball.Mistletoe Season 2011 Programme of Events
Friday 18th November from 5 pm - Christmas Lights Switch On outside the Regal Cinema with Sunshine Radio Roadshow and special guest.
Screened by Flicks in the Sticks Tickets £5 adults. £2 children from Tenbury TIC Period costume optional
Saturday 19th November 10.00am to 4pm Lantern workshop in the Pump Rooms. Come and make a new lantern for the lantern parade or help re-skin an old one. (Children must be accompanied by an adult)

Saturday 3rd December 2:00 pm Mistletoe Foundation Procession through the town led by the “Bang On” Drummers (starts from the Rose & Crown, Burford to the Burgage)
Saturday 3rd December 2:15pm Multi-faith Ceremony on the Burgage to include the crowning of the Mistletoe Queen & Holly Prince. Pump Rooms will be open afterwards for refreshments, sales of mistletoe, questions, stories and music.Saturday 3rd December 7pm Damh the Bard who is a Pagan musician from the Druid tradition, poet, and storyteller, who write songs about the myths and Spirits of the Land, will be performing in the Royal Oak. Saturday 10th December 2011 4.30 pm Lantern and Santa Parade (The parade starts by the Spar supermarket and proceeds to the Church behind the Round Market) Parade organised by Tenbury Chamber of Trade.
Tuesday 13th December Wholesale Mistletoe & Holly AuctionCANCELLED Friday 16th December Mistletoe Ball at Cadmore Lodge Dance to the Big Band sounds of the Out of the Blue Jazz Orchestra Tickets £25 per head to include a 3 course meal. Tickets available from Sarah Thompson @ Special Occasions Don’t forget to purchase your copy of the Mistletoe Messenger (produced by pupils from Tenbury High School) giving up to date details of all events and activities taking place throughout the Mistletoe Season. On sale at venues around the town.
